Veneer cutting and joining techniques

Get to know our wood processing techniques

Veneers can be classified depending on their properties. This classification is based on visual assessment of the veneer on the basis of natural features of the wood, such as symmetrical or balanced structure, the hue, uniformity or color.

Veneer cutting techniques

FLAT MACHINING

This technique gives veneer a visible texture; the flame pattern or the semi-flame pattern. During flat machining, it is also possible to obtain veneer with a texture (striped pattern) – that is, with parallel, straight rings.

RANDOM ORBITAL MACHINING

This technique gives veneer a visible texture; the flame pattern or the semi-flame pattern. During flat machining, it is also possible to obtain veneer with a texture (striped pattern) – that is, with parallel, straight rings.

Visual classification

ZPERFECT | A+

This group includes the most uniform veneer plies, which are repeatable in terms of their structure and color to ensure the perfect look of the entire board.

ZOPTIMUM | A

The most universal group composed to expose the most characteristic wood features. This arrangement provides a good sense of the structure, but there is no warranty of obtaining large sequences with continuity of the pattern.

ZNATURA | B+

The most universal group composed to expose the most characteristic wood features. This arrangement provides a good sense of the structure, but there is no warranty of obtaining large sequences with continuity of the pattern.
